~3.5 hoursDrive north to River HeadsDrive north via the Bruce Highway to River Heads, approximately 3.5 hours from Geebung. Arrive at the ferry terminal about 20 minutes before your departure. All food, water and supplies must be purchased before leaving Geebung — no shops at River Heads.

New to 4WD or sand driving? No problem. Every booking includes a comprehensive 40-minute safety briefing at our Geebung depot. We cover everything — sand technique, tyre pressures, creek crossings and island-specific conditions. First-timers are very welcome in both vehicles.

Both vehicles include the same ferry, accommodation and inclusions. Choose the Jimny for couples (max 2), or the LandCruiser for groups of 1–6. Select the right size group when booking the LandCruiser.
Compact, nimble and easy to drive — the Jimny is ideal for couples and pairs wanting to explore K'Gari at their own pace over multiple days. Simple, affordable and perfectly capable for all of the island's main tracks. Option to upgrade to a LandCruiser if you need more space.
The full-size option — a Toyota LandCruiser or Prado with ample space for up to 6 people and all their luggage. More comfortable for multi-day trips, with greater storage capacity and a more relaxed driving experience. Same Eurong accommodation and inclusions as the Jimny package.

Collect from 91 Basalt Street, Geebung — near Brisbane Airport. Collection from 8:00am daily. Allow ~3.5 hours to drive north to River Heads ferry terminal.
All food, water and supplies must be purchased before leaving Geebung. There are no shops at River Heads ferry terminal. Stock up before you drive north.
Standard: minimum 2-day hire. Peak periods (school holidays etc.): minimum 3-day hire. Hire is in calendar days — not nights or 24-hour periods.
Jimny: max 2 people. LandCruiser (1–3 booking): up to 3 people. LandCruiser (4–6 booking): 4–6 people. Choose the right booking for your group.
Refundable $5,000 pre-authorisation required at vehicle collection. Physical credit or debit card required. Released after hire.
Fuel not included. Vehicles must be returned clean with an underbody wash after beach and island use. Driving restrictions apply on K'Gari.
Our Hervey Bay depot is nearest to River Heads — ideal if you're already in Hervey Bay or want to reduce the drive on collection day.
