Everything organised so you can focus on the island. Collect from our Hervey Bay depot — just 30–45 minutes from River Heads — and drive straight onto K'Gari. Two vehicles to choose from: Jimny for couples, LandCruiser for groups.

Compact, easy to handle on sand and ideal for first-time 4WD drivers. The Jimny is designed for couples and pairs wanting a simple, independent camping adventure on K'Gari. All camping gear is packed and ready from our Hervey Bay depot.
The full-size option for families and groups — a Toyota LandCruiser or Prado with greater storage capacity and space for up to 6 people. Well suited to longer K'Gari trips and accessing more remote areas of the island. Price already includes 2 people.

Camping on K'Gari puts you right in the heart of the island — beyond the areas day-trippers reach. With your own 4WD and all gear packed, you can explore at your own pace and stay out longer.
Maps, tide times and suggested itineraries are included. Camping gives you access to parts of the island that day-trippers and resort guests rarely reach. Your daily itinerary is based on tide times — we set you up at the safety briefing with everything you need.

Applies to both the Jimny and LandCruiser camping packages.
Collect from our Hervey Bay depot — close to the River Heads ferry terminal. Arrive approximately 1.5 hours before your ferry. All passengers must be present.
Select Early Morning (~8:30am), Mid Morning or Afternoon when booking. Confirmed ferry time provided after booking, based on availability, tides and conditions.
All food and supplies must be purchased before arriving at the depot. No shops at River Heads. Sleeping bags not included — available for $20 each at collection.
Standard: minimum 2-day hire. Hire is in calendar days — not nights or 24-hour periods. Multi-day hire available.
Jimny: max 2 people. LandCruiser: max 6 people, no minimum. LandCruiser price already includes 2 people — add extras at checkout.
Refundable $5,000 pre-authorisation at vehicle collection. Physical credit or debit card required. Released after hire.
Our Geebung depot is close to Brisbane Airport — collect from 8:00am and drive north at your own pace.
