A refundable $5,000 security bond is required at collection.

Do I need 4WD experience to book?
No — that's what the safety briefing is for. Every booking includes a comprehensive 40-minute pre-departure briefing where our team walks you through everything: how to drive on sand, how to use low range, how to cross creeks, tyre pressures and more. We get first-timers onto the island safely every single week.
How far is Geebung from Brisbane CBD / Airport?
Geebung is approximately 14km north of the Brisbane CBD and very close to Brisbane Airport — typically 15–20 minutes by car. The address is 91 Basalt Street, Geebung. We recommend collecting your vehicle in the morning and heading north straight away to maximise your time.
What ferry do we take and where do we board?
The ferry departs from either River Heads (south of Hervey Bay) or Inskip Point depending on your chosen route. Ferry transfers are included in your package. Specific boarding details and confirmed departure times are provided after booking.
Can I add extra passengers beyond the 2 included?
Yes — the package price includes 2 people and accommodates up to 7 in total. Additional passengers can be added when you book. The vehicle comfortably seats 6 passengers plus gear.
What if I want to be based at Kingfisher Bay Resort instead?
We offer a dedicated Kingfisher Collection package — your vehicle is collected and returned directly at Kingfisher Bay Resort on the island. You can choose a Suzuki Jimny or Toyota LandCruiser Prado for that package. Ask us about it when you enquire.
Is there a price beat guarantee?
Yes. If you find a comparable package at a lower price, show us the quote and we'll beat it. Call us on 1800 966 424 or include the details in your booking request.
Can I pick up from Hervey Bay instead of Brisbane?
Absolutely — we have a Hervey Bay depot which is much closer to the island and the ferry terminal. Collecting from Hervey Bay means less driving and more time on K'Gari. See our Hervey Bay packages page for details.
